In March of 2020, I stepped off of the elliptical machine and outside onto the roads surrounding our house. I used to think, "I will just run to that tree halfway up the hill", and then I'd think, "I'll just run to the crest, then, that rock and turn around". Next time I would cross the highway...then I started running on the Towpath Trail. Now I keep a trail map and highlighter in my glove box.

So, from where I step now  I see the sunset in the notch cut for the road, on the horizon. We will get there.
